ODROID-Go Super Edition Unveiled

Last Updated on March 7, 2021

Following hot on the heels of the ODROID-GO and ODROID-GO Advance comes the 2021 iteration: the ODROID-GO Super Edition.

Intended as a developers’ gaming gadget, the new model (known as OGS) features an upgraded design, with an LCD resize from 3.5 inches to 5 inches, with a resolution upgrade from 480×320 to 854×480 pixels. There is no 4:3 ratio, however.

The OGS has a RockChip RK3326(Quad-Core ARM Cortex-A35 1.3GHz) CPU and Mali-G31 DvalinMemory1GB (DDR3L 786Mhz, 32 Bits bus width) GPU with 1GB RAM.

Battery capacity is boosted by up to 30%, with a 4000mAh squeezed into the OGS. A new analogue joystick has been added, dedicated volume buttons, faster USB, Wi-Fi 2.4/5GHz, and Bluetooth 4 is also included. Finally, the microSD card slot has been switched from a push-push spring eject to a push-pull slot.

Two colour options are available with the preassembled OGS: Dim Gray and Clear White. Thanks to the core hardware staying the same, however, emulation performance remains the same as the OGA.

ODroid will start selling and shipping the ODROID-Go Super at the end of January 2021, priced just $80.
