SEGA Astro City Mini Arcade Console Gets Limited Run

Limited Run Games confirms that it is releasing a 3,500-unit run of SEGA’s Astro City Mini Arcade retro console for the US market.

Offering a collection of 36 classic SEGA arcade games, the Astro City Mini Arcade is a mini version of the full sized Astro City Arcade cabinets. It comes with an LCD screen, a joystick, and six buttons. Screen too small? There’s an HDMI-out port to connect the console to your TV or monitor, and two USB Type-A connectors for game controllers.

For personal play, the Astro City Mini Arcade also has a headphone socket.

If you want to grab one of these, you’ll need to pay attention to the @LimitedRunGames Twitter feed on and before Friday March 26th. Alternatively, visit the website late on Thursday 25th to hammer the F5 key and catch a $129.99 preorder slot. This is when preorders start – and you wouldn’t want to miss it, as only 3,500 units have been produced for the US market.

Note that this is an English language version of the SEGA Astro City Mini Arcade console. You can find the Japanese version on eBay, but beware the import costs!
