We’ve been hit with a massive Evercade Showcase, which promises a Neo Geo collection, a Neo Geo Super Pocket, a Gremlin Collection 2, and much more.
Everything revealed in the webcast is expected in 2025, with many releases available to pre-order from April 1st.
New Evercade hardware in 2025
First up, a look at the new Evercade devices that have been announced. Since the launch of the original Super Pockets, Evercade’s hardware game seems to have been on the up, with new editions of the VS and EXP, further Super Porckets, and or course the bartop Evercade Alpha consoles.
In the Evercade Showcase 2025, new VS-R and EXP-R models were teased, with details set to be announced later this year. It seems that retailers will be able to create their own bundles, which is something to look forward to.
The big news, of course, is the Super Pocket Neo Geo, which like the original Atari Super Pocket, is coming in two editions.
First is the standard Super Pocket Neo Geo Edition, which opens for pre-order tomorrow, April 1st, priced at £49.99 / $59.99 / €59.99. This features 14 Neo Geo arcade titles:

Of less prominence, but certainly as important, is the Super Pocket Data East Edition.
Also available to preorder on April 1st for a June 2025 release, and priced at £49.99 / $59.99 / €59.99, it features 18 Data East arcade classics:

Meanwhile, a number of cartridge collections were unveiled.
I’ll start with Gremlin Collection 2, where four 32-bit titles have been bundled into one of Evercade’s extra-large Giga Cartridges. Pre-orders for this open April 1st, and it includes:

Retailing at £24.99 / $29.99 / €29.99, this lands in June 2025, as does the Windjammers, Caroloff and Friends Collection. It also has the same price and pre-order date.
