I don’t read an awful lot of mags these days, but one I do look out for is Amiga Addict and its sister title, Pixel Addict. Rather than focusing on a specific platform, Pixel Addict looks at computing in general, from a holistic, all-encompassing viewpoint. That makes it a refreshing change compared with titles that prefer to cast an eye only on contemporary and near-recent computing.

In issue 28 of Pixel Addict, the theme of video game music and composers working in the computing industry dominates. From chiptunes to amazing musical scores (one of my favourite themes is Guild Wars — even bought the soundtrack!), the edition features a look at various classics by author and BAFTA winner James Hannigan.

It’s not just chiptunes in Pixel Addict# 28
