Following the pre-order success of the first collection, Evercade has confirmed NEOGEO Arcade 2 and 3 collections.
Both featuring 12 titles, this collection will be available in October 2025.
You may recall that Trump tariffs delayed the release of NEOGEO Arcade 1 to August. Hopefully, there will be no such delay this time around. With six games on each cartridge, the entire collection will bring 18 NEOGEO games to the Evercade in one year. I think I’m right in saying that three Evercade cartridge collections for one platform in the same year is unprecedented.
What’s on NEOGEO Arcade 2 and 3?
Before we look at the games, here’s the trailer for both collections.
The games in NEOGEO Arcade 2 are:
- Art of Fighting 2
- Crossed Swords
- Garou: Mark of the Wolves
- Metal Slug 2
- Ninja Commando
- Sengoku 2
Meanwhile, NEOGEO Arcade 3 consists of:
- Ghost Pilots
- Metal Slug 3
- Samurai Shodown II
- Super Sidekicks
- The King of Fighters ’97
- Twinkle Star Sprites
If you’re new to Evercade, you may notice that these cartridge collections are purple. This is because Evercade has three game lines: the original red carts, the purple carts for arcade games, and the blue carts for home computer collections. NEOGEO Arcade 2 and 3 will be numbered #19 and #20 in the Evercade Arcade collection.
All current Evercade hardware should be compatible with these carts, including Evercade Alpha, Evercade VS, and the Super Pocket consoles, including the NEOGEO Super Pocket.
The pre-orders for these cartridges — complete with case and manual — open on August 29th, 2025, with a planned release of October 2025. Prices are £19.99, €24.99, and $29.99 each, and you should find them at the usual Evercade retailers.
For full details of these collections, refer to Evercade’s cartridges page, and if you haven’t already, now is a good time to sign up to their newsletter for updates.
