Yet another new line of mini consoles from Blaze Entertainment, the battery-powered Super Micro keychains feature a tiny 2-inch display.

Back when the Super Pocket line was released as an alternative to the standard Evercade EXP and VS, I was pretty interested to see how the brand partnerships would develop. I’ll be honest, I didn’t imagine tiny keychain consoles costing 20 notes. I guess they’re intended for belt loops rather than car keys, where the displays will inevitably crack in pockets and banging around under steering wheels.

Overall, these devices — branded as Asteroids, Burger Time, Centipede, and Space Invaders — have the feel of Christmas novelties. That’s not necessarily a bad thing if it unlocks latent retro gaming nostalgia in the recipient!

All models feature a 2-inch RGB TFT display with a 240×320 resolution, roughly the size of a Nintendo Game & Watch Super Mario Bros. or The Legend of Zelda edition. Crucially, these devices are not rechargeable, and require 3x AAA batteries, which are not included.
