Colourful platformer Go Slimey Go! is now available on PC via Steam, following a surprise shadow drop during the Latin American Games Showcase (LAGS).

The launch, which took place yesterday, quickly generated buzz among both players and developers, particularly across the Latin American indie scene.

A squishy platformer built on bounce and momentum

Already available on Itch.io, Go Slimey Go! is a vibrant 2D platformer that blends old-school inspiration with modern polish. Players take control of Slimey, a soft, squishy hero who bounces and slides through carefully designed stages in a quest to reunite with friends.

The game — which is also Steam Deck compatible — spans five distinct worlds, each built around precise movement, playful level layouts, and mechanics that reward timing and mastery. While the controls are easy to pick up, the challenge scales nicely, making the experience welcoming for casual players while still offering depth for fans of precision platforming.

From small experiment to full release

Go Slimey Go! is developed by Tembac alongside Julián Chab, an Argentine creator currently based in Japan and known for his work across multiple creative projects.

What began as a small experiment gradually grew into a complete game. Ahead of launch, players were able to sample a free demo featuring six handcrafted stages, offering a taste of the game’s expressive pixel art, tight gameplay, and original chiptune soundtrack.

Awards and recognition

Throughout 2025, Go Slimey Go! has picked up a notable list of awards and nominations, highlighting its design and presentation.

Awards and selections include:

  • EVA 2025 – Press Award
  • Indie Dev Argentina 2025
    • Best Game
