GOG has announced a new collection of classic games on offer this week, with Mortal Kombat Trilogy the highlight.

Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the first Mortal Kombat game back in 1992, the campaign is a key element of GOG’s returning focus on classic games under its Good Old Games initiative (the very philosophy with which the service made its name).

Mortal Kombat Trilogy was originally released in 1996 by Midway, and features characters and stages from Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat 2, with new finishing moves and the aggressor bar. It’s essentially the final update to Mortal Kombat 3, and was released for PlayStation, Nintendo 64, Sega Saturn, and PCs. Thanks to GOG, the PC version is now available to play again, joining Mortal Kombat 1+2+3 and Mortal Kombat 4.

GOG’s Classic Twist Sale is also taking place, with over 60 deals with up to 85% off some titles. A browse through the games on offer reveals some key highlights: the Space Quest series (-67%), King’s Quest series (-50%), Wizard & Warriors (-50%), Warcraft I and II Bundle (-20%), Warcraft: Orcs and Humans (-20%), Street Racer (-65%), Glover (-20%), Drakhen (-65%) and many more.

The sale is running for another week, so if there is anything in the list you fancy adding to your retro games collection (which shouldn’t be missing Mortal Kombat Trilogy) then buy it now on GOG.com!
