Turrican is a game series I’m a bit obsessed with, so learning about a new Turrican 2 AGA release for later Amigas has got me excited.

It’s the MS-DOS version of Turrican 2: The Final Fight, released on PC in 1995 (four years after the original) and now ported back to the Amiga AGA systems (Amiga 1200, 4000, and CD32) with improved graphics.

This means 50 and 60Hz graphics, AGA 24-bit/256 colour modes, support for two-button joysticks, CD32 joypads, and a built-in trainer mode. If the enhanced detail of the DOS character sprite is somehow not to your taste, you can replace it with the Amiga version. A bunch of additional fixes and features are also present in the Turrican 2 AGA version, missing from the DOS version.
