Get ready to groove with the gecko once again! Limited Run Games has just dropped some seriously exciting news for fans of the wise-cracking, channel-surfing reptile: the Gex Trilogy is officially coming to PC and modern consoles starting June 16th, 2025!

For those who remember the 90s with fondness, Gex was a platforming icon, known for his pop culture references, sticky feet, and of course, that signature tail whip. As previously announced, PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo® Switch™, and PC players will get to experience the original trilogy – presumably including Gex: Enter the Gecko, and Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko – with some fantastic modern upgrades.
But that’s not all, folks! True to their name, Limited Run Games is going all out with three incredible physical editions of the Gex Trilogy, with pre-orders opening this Friday, May 9th and running until July 6th, 2025. Prepare your wallets, because these are looking slick!
Modern enhancements for a classic gecko
This isn’t just a straight re-release. Limited Run Games is bringing some serious quality-of-life improvements to make these classic adventures even better. Get ready to say goodbye to frustrating moments with the inclusion of Rewind and Save Anywhere features across all included titles! This is a game-changer for tackling those tricky platforming sections.
But the upgrades don’t stop there! Fans of Gex: Enter the Gecko and Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko will be particularly thrilled to hear about native 16:9 widescreen support and completely rebuilt full 360-degree analogue control. Say goodbye to those clunky 8-directional movements! Our favorite gecko is about to feel smoother and more responsive than ever before, making those TV-hopping escapades a dream.
You can even catch a glimpse of these new features in the brand new trailer! (Make sure to check it out if you missed the link in the press release!)
