Aaling the Ghost is a story-driven turn-based RPG game coming to Game Boy Color. The game is set in a fantasy world based on early Chinese folk beliefs and landscapes. The player controls a ghost named Aaling in her journey to retrieve her life.
The game features a variety of gameplay elements, including:
- Diverse enemies and NPCs
- Talk in battle
- Travel companions
- Ghostels
- Unique items
- Mazes and environmental puzzles
- Multiple endings
Developed by Weiwei Leung, this game is currently in development, and the Kickstarter campaign is running until October 20, 2023. Backers can receive a variety of rewards, including early access to the ROM, digital and physical copies of the game, opportunities to create elements of the game, and exclusive goodies.
We think this looks like a really interesting game, so will be keeping an eye on the progress of this project.
