Hi! Ahead of the weekend, here’s a brief unboxing video for the BBC Micro SD card reader and turbo MMFS ROM chip.

These were recently purchased on eBay, and I’m really excited to get both installed and start using the BBC Micro properly.

What really strikes me about them at first glance is how compact the card reader is. When I come to install it, you’ll see how it cleverly sits out of sight, beyond access for the most part, which is why it doesn’t have a case. I believe some cased versions are available (or 3D printed cases) but these seem largely pointless to me.

Now the UK heatwave is over, I’ll be back soon with more Adventures in BBC Micro soon.
