After confirming that there will be an Amiga Evercade cartridge back in October 2022, the Evercade socials have confirmed that the contents of the first Amiga cartridge collection will be announced next week, on Friday, March 9th.

UPDATE: The games on the Evercade Amiga cartridge have been announced.

The details of the original Evercade-Amiga announcement have the following key facts:

  • Partnership allows Amiga games to be played on Evercade
  • Evercade Cartridge Collections will highlight publishers and franchises who made games for Amiga systems
  • Game lists and publishers will be announced at a later date
  • These collections will join THEC64 in Evercade’s Blue-coloured Home Computer Line from 2023

The Amiga, of course, is arguably the greatest home computer and certainly the most successful and influential 16-bit home computer. Released between 1985 and 1995, various models were available for the home market, including the Amiga 500, 500 Plus, 600, 1200, and CD32. In addition, office-focused models such as the Amiga 1000, 2000, 3000, and 4000 computers were released, as well as a CD-ROM-integrated home entertainment system, the CDTV.

Here’s how the news was announced today:

With a library of over 3000 games (and growing!) the options for this cartridge are immense. We’ve already suggested a few likely candidates, including the oft-overlooked Turrican 3, freeware classic Amiga Tanx, and Cinemaware dogfighter Wings. So, just one week to go. That’s pretty exciting for an Amiga lover. Not sure what I’m going to do to entertain myself in the meantime…
