Everyone’s favorite bubble-popping puzzle game, Bust a Move (also known as Puzzle Bobble), is coming to Steam in February 2023 alongside Metal Black, a lesser-known but downright superb space shooter. According to City Connection, these titles are part of the S-Tribute series, which are “reprints of classics produced and developed with the Zebra Engine during the Saturn era.”
These titles are displayed on the pinned tweet on the CITY CONNECTION Twitter page.
The Bust A Move S-Tribute features arcade and console ports of both titles. It also includes a ‘Collection Mode’ for Bust A Move 3, which boasts an eyewatering 1026 player-created stages.
A generous selection of Quality of Life options have been added to the mix, including slow-motion and rewind features.

If you’re unfamiliar with Metal Black, it shares many similarities with the Darius series, including boss battles against giant mechanical creatures. Metal Black also has the S-Tribute treatment with features like Unlimited Continues and Stage Select. Both are perfect for mastering those tricky late-game boss battles.
Curiously, the tweet only alludes to the Steam release, but on the Steam trailer, you can see logos for consoles, including the Nintendo Switch. On Steam, these games have a release date of February 1st, here’s hoping that date is cross-platform!
