Hamster has announced the release of Arcade Archives Darius II for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. The game is available digitally now for $7.99 and supports up to two players.

Darius II is a shooting game released by TAITO in 1989. Players pilot powerful, modified Silver Hawks through stages starting from the sun to Mercury, Venus, the moon, the earth, Mars, and then to Jupiter, battling various bosses on the way to save their people.

The Arcade Archives series faithfully reproduces many classic Arcade masterpieces. Players can change various game settings such as game difficulty, and also reproduce the atmosphere of arcade display settings at that time. Players can also compete against each other from all over the world with their high scores.

Darius II has recently been re-released as part of the TAITO Milestones 2 collection.

Key Features:

  • Faithful reproduction of the original arcade game
  • Adjustable game settings, including difficulty and display settings
  • Online leaderboards to compete against players from all over the world
  • Live stream on YouTube Live and niconico Live on October 5th at 7:00 pm(JST)

Arcade Archives Darius II is a must-have for fans of classic arcade games. With its faithful reproduction of the original game, adjustable settings, and online leaderboards, it’s the perfect way to experience this classic game on modern consoles.
