The noir-punk side-scrolling adventure game Gunbrella is now available on PC and Nintendo Switch. The game is priced at £12.79, but a Deluxe Edition is also available for £20.99, which includes an exclusive digital comic and the game’s soundtrack.
In Gunbrella, you play as a gruff woodsman on a quest for revenge. Armed only with the titular Gunbrella, a high-calibre firearm that doubles as an umbrella, you must explore a diverse assortment of locations, interrogate bizarre characters, and engage in side-scrolling action combat.
As you progress through the game, your investigation will become entangled with the inner workings of a creepy cabal of ghouls and gangsters, cops and cultists, and the fallout of corporate exploitation.
The Gunbrella digital comic features 30 pages of full color illustrations and delves into the past of the game’s most mysterious villains. The three stories collected in this short anthology offer a glimpse of the crude truth about their ambitions and obsessions.
The Gunbrella soundtrack is composed by Doinksoft’s Britt Brady and Hyperstepp and features 53 tracks of atmospheric music that perfectly complements the game’s dark and gritty atmosphere.
