Not before time, the Evercade TAITO Arcade collection has been announced, filling a big hole in Evercade’s arcades range.

Way back in 2022, the Evercade VS was launched, along with a new range of Arcade carts. Whereas previous collections had included largely console titles, the Arcade carts — coloured purple to distinguish them from the main range — featured games direct from classic arcade machines.

Notable by their absence were games from TAITO, but that is about to change with Evercade Arcade #17 and #18, also known as TAITO Arcade 1 and TAITO Arcade 2. Available to preorder from July, you can expect to be playing the games in September.

As you will notice from the trailer, few of the games are exclusive to this collection. TAITO has already graced the Super Pocket range, and as part of the May 2025 Evercade Showcase, we learned that a TAITO Evercade Alpha console is also coming.

What’s on Evercade TAITO Arcade 1?

With that in mind, here’s what you’ll find on TAITO Arcade 1:

  • Bubble Bobble
  • Chack’n Pop
  • Colony 7
  • Don Doko Don
  • Growl
  • Space Invaders
  • Pirate Pete
  • Raimais
  • The Legend of Kage

That’s a good collection. Unfortunately, if you want the cream of TAITO’s arcade efforts, you’ll need both carts.

A further 9 titles are on the second collection.

  • Alpine Ski
  • The Electric Yo-Yo
  • Elevator Action
  • Kiki Kaikai
  • Liquid Kids
  • Rastan
  • Operation Wolf
  • The NewZealand Story
  • Volified

With 18 games across both carts, you can grab these collections for £19.99, €24.99, and $29.99 each, depending on your currency. Preorders open on July 31, 2025, from the usual Evercade retailers, and the games will be available in September 2025.

Note that we have seen some delays in Evercade releases over the years, so keep an eye out for any changes to this schedule. It’s a good idea to sign up to the Evercade or Funstock newsletters to stay informed.
