CosmicNobab Games and indie.io have announced that their critically acclaimed sci-fi action-RPG, LunarLux, is now available on the Nintendo eShop.

Drawing clear inspiration from the beloved GBA era of heartfelt pixel adventures, LunarLux casts you as Bella, a fearless Lunar Warrior, alongside her trusty robot sidekick Tetra. Set in the year 30XX on a rebuilt Luna, their mission is critical: stop the return of a deadly comet and unravel the conspiracies threatening their world.

The GBA-like pixel world of LunarLux

LunarLux promises a lovingly crafted pixel world brimming with interactive surprises, endearing characters, and hidden easter eggs. Prepare for thrilling gameplay that blends turn-based strategic combat with satisfying action timing, encouraging players to experiment with “Lux Combos” by stacking Active and Support skills.

Adding a unique twist, players will also step into the circuits of Tetra to tackle nostalgic 8-bit minigames within malfunctioning networks. These digital dives will uncover hidden lore and unlock new pathways through the lunar mystery.

Following its successful PC launch, solo developer CosmicNobab continued to enrich the world of LunarLux with significant updates, including the “Legend Update” which introduced new difficulty modes, expanded missions, and the much-loved “Beach Episode” – a delightful post-game chapter offering a retro mini-game reminiscent of classic anime diversions.

Passionate developers and community

Backed by a passionate Kickstarter community and boasting a “Very Positive” rating on Steam, LunarLux has been lauded for its stunning pixel visuals, deep combat mechanics, and touching narrative. It’s truly a “nostalgic love letter to GBA-era RPGs, now brought to life with modern flair.”

Now, Nintendo Switch owners can experience Bella’s cosmic journey for the first time or revisit its pixel-perfect moonscape on the go. LunarLux is also available on Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store, and is even part of Crunchyroll Game Vault for Mega Fan and Ultimate subscribers.
