Three days ago Mario fans celebrated “Mario Day” and Lego and Nintendo have announced a new set for their Mario-themed collection. The Dry Bowser Castle Battle set is the newest addition with some teases of Donkey Kong too!
The Dry Bowser Castle Battle set will be releasing on 1st August and whilst there is no certain price as of yet, Lego have not disappointed in their generous supply of 60 connectable and interactive sets since the initial launch in 2020. In this set, Mario can interact with key and lock blocks, a crane, a gym and send Dry Bones Bowser flying backwards. You can rescue a purple toad from from his evil clutches.
Note that this differs from the existing Bowser’s Boss Battle Expansion already available for the Lego Mario range. There is also a Mighty Bowser kit from Lego – this isn’t that, either.
Lego Donkey Kong has not had a lot of public information yet, except that he will be available for purchase this summer.
Another very notable Nintendo franchise, The Legend of Zelda continues to be rumoured for a potential Lego set of its own, however with the issue of copyright strikes it’s doesn’t look like a smooth-sailing project that is underway.
