The oft-delayed Atari Gamestation Go console is set for an October 2025 release, complete with a collection of pre-installed Atari classics.
Originally previewed CES 2024 and planned for release that year, the Atari MyArcade Gamestation Go was thought abandoned until it appeared at CES 2025.
A collaboration between Atari and MyArcade, the console — originally referred to as Gamestation Go Portable to distinguish it from the Gamestation Go — has been the focus of some anticipation, as it simply looks superb.
We previously understood it would have a 7-inch display plus:
- Officially licensed, fully playable titles.
- Rechargeable battery
- Integrated paddle, trak-ball and keypad
Over the past few days, we’ve learned that the Atari My Arcade Gamestation Go! will be released in October of this year.
Why would you buy the Atari Gamestation Go Portable?
In a world of endless portable retro gaming systems, this is a pretty unique device. While we know little, we do know that it has a number pad (see below) as well as a track ball and paddle.

The MyArcade website states:
The Atari Gamestation Go stands out with its unique control schemes, integrating three iconic control methods into a single unit. It features a Trak-Ball for games like Centipede and Missile Command, a Paddle for Breakout and other precision-based titles, and a Keypad for classic selections such as Brain Games and Codebreaker. These elements, combined with a traditional D-pad, face buttons, and shoulder buttons, offer an authentic and immersive retro gaming experience that is sure to intrigue and excite gaming enthusiasts.
My own view is that this is likely to be a premium handheld retro gaming product ideal for retro gamers who like to both look at their collection, and play it. I hope that there is the option to run other systems on it too, if not expand the included library — that number pad is surely shouting out for the Atari 5200 library, Atari Jaguar, and perhaps even Intellivision — which Atari now owns.
The Atari My Arcade Gamestation Go! is expected to retail for around $149.95, but no UK price has been confirmed at this stage.
