For those of us who spent countless hours glued to the screen watching a friend navigate tense pitcher-batter standoffs back in the late 80s and early 90s, this news is a nostalgic home run. To be honest, my own joystick fingers never guided a single batter to victory in these iconic games. But the memories of shouting encouragement (and occasional sarcastic remarks at questionable umpire calls) from the sidelines are vivid.
When did Bases Loaded come out?
Originally launched on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1988 and followed by the Super Nintendo Entertainment System sequel in 1991, the Bases Loaded series was renowned for its innovative gameplay, detailed animations, and immersive mechanics.
