NBA Jam 30th Anniversary Deluxe Machine from Arcade1Up

Arcade1Up is celebrating the 30th anniversary of NBA Jam with two new home arcade experiences. In partnership with the NBA, they have developed the NBA Jam 30th Anniversary Deluxe arcade machine and the NBA Jam Partycade.

The deluxe arcade machine allows fans to play with or against legendary players such as Shaquille O’Neal and Hakeem Olajuwon. It includes three fan-favorite games and built-in Wi-Fi for online competitions.

The sleek stand-up cabinet features authentic design elements and upgraded controls. The Partycade is a portable option that can be hung on a door, mounted on a wall, or played on a tabletop.

First launched back in 1993, NBA Jam was renowned for its playability, support for up to four players, and digitized photorealistic graphics. The Midway machine turned up in arcades around the globe, even in countries where basketball wasn’t hugely popular, such as the UK, and was often difficult to get a go on. (Inexplicably, the game failed to make the cut in the World Video Game Hall of Fame in 2022.)

“We are thrilled to be able to announce the return of this iconic game at the first NBA Con,” said Scott Bachrach, CEO of Arcade1Up. “Arcade1Up was the first to deliver an at-home NBA Jam arcade experience more than three years ago – and it was our first-ever machine to include Wi-Fi. We’ve come a long way since that original release and are excited to celebrate the 30th anniversary of a true classic.”

Both machines will be available this fall, coinciding with the start of the NBA season. The deluxe arcade machine is currently available for pre-order at $699.99. Additional arcades from Arcade1Up, including NBA Jam: SHAQ Edition and NBA Jam 2-Player Countercade, are also available for purchase. More information can be found on Arcade1Up‘s website.
