Set for release in December 2025, Old School Rally brings the vibe of Sega Rally Championship to current gen consoles, and will ship in its own box.

Spanish publisher Meridiem has confirmed details for Old School Rally, which hits Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 in December in both digital and physical editions. The game is inspired by arcade rally games of the past, most notably Sega Rally Championship.

The game, developed by Frozen Lake Games, offers:

Old School Rally physical editions

There is a lot of nostalgia for Sega Rally Championship, both on Sega Saturn and on Dreamcast in the case of Sega Rally 2. Few modern games have really hit the vibe (I personally think Forza 4 is the best modern take) of Sega Rally Championship, and Old School Rally really looks like it could do numbers, among both retro and mainstream gamers.

It looks superb, I think you’ll agree:

The physical “special edition” of Old School Rally will feature a set of car cards with each copy. It crosses the line on December 4th, 2025, and you can learn more on the Meridiem website, which also has the latest links to the Nintendo eShop and PlayStation Store. Digital copies retail at £19.99 (or equiv) but there is no price yet on the physical copies of Old School Rally – Special Edition.
