Hi. First, thanks for your support of Gaming Retro, both here and on the website.

The challenges of managing a website with big aims and little time have always been in my thoughts, but it now seems wholly obvious that I cannot maintain the Patreon, the podcast, the newsletter, AND the site without a big dose of burnout.

As Patreons, you get to learn this first. Billing on this Patreon is paused, pending the page being retired at the end of January.

The Gaming Retro podcast is also being retired in its current form, with a new monthly format arriving hopefully in February.

Both the podcast and limited-access material will instead appear exclusively on the Gaming Retro Substack (gamingretro.substack.com).

My dream of a huge interlinked, relevant, accurate, and up-to-date retro gaming resource may, admittedly, never take shape. However, I want to have the time to enjoy the games too 🙂

Thanks for your support to-date. I hope that it will continue via Substack.
