Iron Meat is a frantic side-scrolling shooter that you can play on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 right now. Sporting 16-bit style graphics, the classic-style run-and-gun drop you into a chaotic, apocalyptic future where THE MEAT, an all-consuming interdimensional biomass, mutates everything in its path.

Here’s a look at Iron Meat.

While the game might look like a Mega Drive throwback, it features a few modern gameplay elements. Look out for a 2-player couch co-op mode, multi-phase boss fights, increasing difficulty levels, and over 30 unlockable player skins. Those skins come with a mix-and-match aspect, so you can end up playing a Meat-killing hero that looks completely different every single time!

We think you should definitely check this one out. You’ll find it on the PlayStation Store (for PS4 and PS5) and the Nintendo eShop.

If you want the physical version, it was issued by Strictly Limited Games on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. However, the Switch version has sold out, so you’ll have to opt for the PS5 edition, or buy the digital version.
