Key features of the Atari 2600+
- Design: The Atari 2600+ has a wooden front panel and a black plastic case, just like the original console. The controls are also the same, with two joystick ports and a power switch.
- Compatibility: The Atari 2600+ is compatible with both Atari 2600 and Atari 7800 cartridges. This means that you can play all of your favorite classic games on one console.
- Wide screen mode: The Atari 2600+ has a wide screen mode that allows you to play games in a widescreen format. This is great for modern TVs, which are typically wider than old CRT TVs.
- Included games: The Atari 2600+ comes with a 10-in-1 game cartridge that includes some of the most popular classic Atari games, such as Pong, Asteroids, and Missile Command.
- Joystick controller: The Atari 2600+ comes with a CX40+ joystick controller that is faithful to the original. This means that it has the same size and layout, so you can feel like you’re playing on the original console.
- Compatibility with original cartridges: The Atari 2600+ is also compatible with original Atari cartridges. This means that you can use your old cartridges on the new console.
The Atari 2600+ comes with a 10-in-1 game cartridge and a CX40+ joystick controller for that added touch of nostalgia. The CX-30 paddle controller with 4-in-1 multi game cartridge is also available for pre-order for €34.99 / £29.99. A standalone CX-40 joystick will retail for $24.99 (€22.99 / £19.99).
Additional launch titles, including cartridges for Berzerk Enhanced Edition and Mr. Run and Jump, will also be available for the Atari 2600+ for $29.99 (€29.99 / £24.99).
