Full-motion video (FMV) games have had a bad rap over the years, but they seem to be slowly garnering a new audience, as the technology finally catches up with their ambition.

This week, I look at the news that Playdate title ⁠Blippo+ is coming to PC⁠ and consoles, while looking back at the title that I think reinvigorated FMVs, 2015’s Contradiction, by Tim Follin.
