Fancy a wall-mounted home arcade system in your home? If so, the Polycade Sente Kickstarter campaign is worth keeping an eye on.

This system can play current PC titles (with the right hardware) as well as retro games, boasts a modular design, and features a 60Mhz 1080p display.

The lower part of the chassis is designed to store an ATX-based PC, or console(s), but the default unit ships with an AMD Ryzen 7 -based mini-PC.

Available in black or white, the unit comes with optional extras such as vinyl or magnet decals, RGB LED backlights, and screensavers. The highlight of the unit, however, is surely the modular, swappable controller panel. These are long-lasting Sanwa buttons and joysticks, so they should be pretty durable.

The default unit ships with emulators for:

  • Arcade
  • NES
  • SNES
  • Genesis
  • Sega Master System
  • TurboGrafx-16
  • Atari 2600
  • Gameboy
  • Gameboy Advance

Other systems are also emulated.

The basic no-PC price for the Polycade Sente on Kickstarter right now is £1,207, which is a 33% discount on the expected MSRP. Meanwhile, you can also back the mini-PC version, available to back at £1,268. Both options have limited opportunity, so head over to the Polycade Sente Kickstarter page to decide which pledge suits you.

The Polycade Sente is expected to ship in March 2024. At the time of writing the campaign has 25 days to go and has collecteed over £1m in pledges, way beyond the £12,273 goal.
