Portal 2 and Thrillville are the retro games included in September’s Games with Gold deal.
The monthly offer to Games with Gold members sees four titles given for “free” (although membership of the program must be maintained to continue access) but time is running out for Xbox 360 titles.
While it seems original Xbox games still have some time to run on the service, Portal 2 will be the final Xbox 360 release on the service.
Portal 2
Portal 2 is listed on the Xbox Store as follows:
The highly anticipated sequel to 2007’s Game of the Year, Portal 2 is a hilariously mind-bending adventure that challenges you to use wits over weaponry in a funhouse of diabolical science. Using a highly experimental portal device, you’ll once again face off against a lethally inventive, power-mad A.I. named GLaDOS. Break the laws of spatial physics in ways you never thought possible, with a wider variety of portal puzzles and an expansive story that spans a single player and co-op game mode.
You can get Portal 2 from September 16th to the 30th free on Game with Gold.
Thrillville
The description for this first generation Xbox game reads:
Visit Thrillville™ and step into a nonstop party in a theme park that you create. Customize your park, interact with guests, and build and hop into your own roller coasters and other rides. Race on go-kart tracks you constructed, play mini-golf on courses you designed, or join friends for dozens of four-player party games, from bumper cars to arcade shoot-’em-ups. Tour the park on foot as you chat with the guests to make sure they’re enjoying themselves.
Thrillville is available from September 1st to September 15th.
Other September Games with Gold titles
Also included in September’s Games with Gold bundle are Gods Will Fall and Double Kick Heroes, both for Xbox One and Xbox Series X and S. Check your Xbox from September 1st to get access to the games (which are available to buy seperately).
