Wow, this has taken way too long to put together, so please accept my apologies. I will aim to put more stuff out more regularly in future.

This time around, following my look at the Acorn joysticks for the BBC Micro, I’m programming a 20-line routine that comes printed with the joysticks instructions. After finding the PDF online, I thought it might be interesting to type it up and see how it works.

I had hoped to add some commentary on some of the commands, but something happened…

Let’s just say years of typing in Commodore 64 programs lead me into a false sense of security, and that programming in BBC BASIC has an important difference.

I’ve attached the Etch code below, as part of the Acorn joysticks manual.
