Retro Style Racer New Star GP Goes Early Access on Steam

BAFTA award-winning studio New Star Games, known for popular games like New Star Soccer, Retro Goal, and Retro Bowl, is excited to announce the release of their new retro-style racing game, New Star GP.

The game is now available for download on Steam Early Access at a discounted price of $17.99 / £14.99 / €17.49, which will increase as more content is added.

Early Access players will receive an exclusive FREE body-shell called the Lucas 05, which adds a nostalgic touch to the game’s visuals.

New Star GP offers fast-paced and thrilling arcade motorsport gameplay with stunning retro graphics. In Career Mode, players can start in the 80s and progress through various decades of racing, upgrading both their car and support team. Alternatively, players can compete for high scores in Championship Mode, either alone or in split-screen with up to three friends.

The Early Access version currently includes races set in the 80s and 90s, featuring 56 individual race events across iconic venues like Brisbane, Quebec, and Côte D’Azur. As the game progresses towards its full release, there are plans to expand the Career Mode to include future decades of racing, as well as introducing new cars, locations, tracks, and rivals.

Championship Mode offers a selection of different championships for solo play or multiplayer with up to three other players. More content will be added to this mode during the Early Access period.

New Star GP is New Star Games’ most ambitious project to date, making it a perfect fit for Steam Early Access. The studio has a strong reputation for actively listening to and collaborating with the community to improve their games, and they eagerly look forward to receiving player feedback to enhance the current experience and introduce new content and features.

New Star GP has been developed by New Star Games and published by Five Aces Publishing.
