Atari has exciting news for Nintendo Switch players: RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic is getting a physical release on April 25, 2025! (If I’m honest, I was always more of a Theme Park man, but…)
That’s right, after its successful digital launch on December 5th, this beloved park simulation game is making its way to store shelves.
What’s in store?
RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic brings together the best of the original RollerCoaster Tycoon and RollerCoaster Tycoon 2. This means you’ll have a ton of content to play with:
- Design and build incredible roller coasters: Twist, loop, and dive your way to thrilling rides.
- Create stunning parks: Landscape your parks with beautiful scenery, themed areas, and unique attractions.
- Manage your park effectively: Keep your guests happy by ensuring smooth operations, providing excellent service, and maintaining park cleanliness.
A classic returns
The RollerCoaster Tycoon franchise has been a fan favourite for over 25 years, but even in this age of endless digital downloads and codes-in-boxes, this physical release is a testament to its enduring popularity.
“The new Nintendo Switch version of RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic deserves a physical release, and I am glad our team could make it happen,” said Ethan Stearns, VP of Games Publishing at Atari. “The RollerCoaster Tycoon franchise just keeps getting stronger and stronger, and fans can only expect more in the coming year.”
If you’re a fan of park simulation games or a collector of classic titles, be sure to pick up your physical copy of RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic on April 25, 2025.
