Firefly Studios has announced a new 14-mission campaign for Stronghold: Definitive Edition, which is set to launch on November 7th. The new campaign, called “The Jewel Campaign,” will tell the tale of the “Jewel of the North” and will be playable alongside the original game’s two military and economic story campaigns.
The Jewel Campaign is designed to challenge veteran players of the 20-year-old series and will feature new twists on familiar Stronghold gameplay. The campaign will also heavily feature series favorite antagonists The Rat and The Snake, as players are tasked with thwarting their plans to ruin medieval England.
The Jewel Campaign is handcrafted by Firefly co-founders Simon Bradbury and Eric Ouellette and will be narrated by a new character voiced by Stronghold series veteran actor Christopher Kent. The campaign will be playable at launch alongside both the original military and economic campaigns.
To accompany the campaign announcement, Firefly Studios also released a new community Q&A video showcasing a few of the changes and a deeper dive into content planned for launch.
