Here’s some excellent news for fans of classic adventure games: Microids has just unveiled the story trailer for Syberia Remastered, confirming the game will launch on November 6, 2025.

For many of us, the original Syberia—the first game in Benoît Sokal’s acclaimed series—is an iconic piece of gaming history. Its distinctive artistic identity and narrative depth have inspired generations, and this remaster is shaping up to be a true revival of that emotional journey.

Until recently, Syberia was one of the many classic PC games available on Android. However, it was pulled from the platform around the time work began on the remaster.

Kate Walker’s unforgettable journey is back

Syberia Remastered invites players to relive the unforgettable journey of Kate Walker, the New York lawyer who embarks on an initiatory quest across Europe in search of the brilliant inventor Hans Voralberg.

Co-developed by Virtuallyz Gaming and Microids Studio Paris, this project is described as a respectful and ambitious revival. They are promising more than just a simple resolution bump. The remaster will include:

  • Reimagined Graphics: The visual flair that made the original so famous is getting a full upgrade.
  • Revamped Animations: This will hopefully smooth out some of the clunkiness associated with earlier 3D adventure games.
  • Modernized Interface: Making the timeless story more accessible for a new generation of players, without sacrificing the original’s emotional core.

If the game can keep the original atmosphere, this will be a remaster worth checking out.

This release follows the critical success of Microids’ work on the remake of Amerzone – The Explorer’s Legacy, so they clearly have a track record of handling Benoît Sokal’s catalog with care.

When and where to play

Syberia Remastered game hits PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on November 6, 2025.

Adventure fans with a VR headset will want to note that the Quest 3 version will follow shortly after, releasing on November 13, 2025.

If you’re ready to step back into the unique, mysterious world of Syberia, you can add the game to your wishlist on Steam (although Steam Deck compatibility is currently unknown), PlayStation Store, and Xbox right now.
