ININ Games and TAITO have released a major update to the G-Darius HD game on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 which is availble to install now.

So, if you bought G-Darius HD when it was released in 2021, you’re about to get three new versions of the game alongside a ton of new features and gadgets.

Three new versions in G-Darius HD

G-Darius HD already features the 1997 original G-Darius along with the high definition update. This major update adds three new versions for fans of the game on Nintendo Switch and PS4:

  • G-Darius Ver.2: first released in 1998, this is an updated version of the original G-Darius which was initially published one year earlier. While the story remains the same, G-Darius Ver.2 comes with a beginner mode, rapid-fire function and a lot of adjustments to the gameplay.
  • G-Darius Ver.2 HD comes as an HD version of G-Darius Ver.2  
  • G-Darius for consumer adds the 1998 Japan-released console port of G-Darius

G-Darius HD’s new gadgets, modes & settings

In addition, new gadgets, modes, and settings have been implemented in G-Darius and G-Darius Ver.2 that improve your gaming experience. For example, the Boss Gadget reveals weaknesses, just one of several enhancements to the game, along with the Zone Map and Yazuka Timer.

Meanwhile, the new Training Mode helps you improve at G-Darius, while a replay gallery relives your most glorious battles.
