8-Bit Big Band YouTube channel
The 8-Bit Big Band was formed in 2017 and has a popular YouTube channel showcasing its work. Here’s how the band tackles Outrun.
There’s something fun and quirky about this band that I like, so it is great to see them hitting London. The tour is in support of The 8-Bit Big Band’s fifth full length album, Orchestrator Emulator, which is scheduled for release on July 18, 2025.
Charlie Rosen, Musical Director of The 8-Bit Big Band: “I’m excited to be able to bring reimagined orchestral video game music magic to extended new territories across the globe this year! I hope fans of video games, Jazz, orchestras, or just great musicianship will come join us as we celebrate the ever-growing body of work that we are lovingly calling ‘The Great Video Game Songbook’ with some wild new takes on some of our favorite themes from our beloved pastime of over 40 years!”
Rosen, incidentally, is a two-time GRAMMY and two-time Tony award winner, a multi-instrumentalist, composer, performer, arranger, music director and producer, whose best-known work is probably on the movie Wonka.
