Brazilian publisher QUByte Interactive and Piko are re-issuing the classic Gremin Graphics Top Gear driving games as Top Racer Collection, presumably due to licencing (or drug) concerns. These titles were initially released back in 1992 on the NES, and are similar to the Lotus games released on the Amiga two years earlier.

Announced via the QUByte YouTube channel, the collection features the Lotus-esque Top Gear, renamed as Top Racer, along with Top Racer 2, Top Racer 3000, and previously unreleased Top Racer: Crossroads.

The classic 16-bit racing game, also known as Top Gear, will come to current consoles through the Top Racer Collection as part of the QUByte Classics line-up. The collection will feature 4 games: Top Racer, Top Racer 2, Top Racer 3000 and the unprecedented Top Racer: Crossroads, exclusive content of the collection, bringing a content crossover with Horizon Chase, the great success of Aquiris. Relive the nostalgia of the 90’s. Top Racer Collection launches in 2023.

But where will you find this classic collection of arcade driving games in 2023? At present there is no release date, but the collection is set for release on Sony PlayStation 4 and 5, Microsoft Xbox One and Series, and Nintendo Switch. Keep an eye on your preferred online store for Top Racer Collection.
