Unseen officially since the game was closed in 2009, GoldenEye 007 Xbox edition looks set to hit Xbox Live soon, if a leaked achievement list is anything to go by.

You may know the history of the GoldenEye 007 Xbox version. In short, the Rare-developed game was cancelled before release, with a Nintendo Wii remake featuring redesigned levels and Daniel Craig’s likeness being the only GoldenEye release at this time. More recently, in early 2021, the Xbox version was leaked online, apparently complete.

Suitable for running on Windows using the Xenia emulator, GoldenEye 007‘s revival may well be behind any planned official release. Certainly, our guide on how to play GoldenEye 007 on Windows is one of the most popular we’ve published.

While this appears a legitimate leak, and it appears that achievements and library information are online, the GoldenEye 007 Xbox release has yet to be confirmed, let alone a date announced.
