Batman: Arkham City was released to tremendous acclaim in 2011 and is not only one of the Dark Knight’s finest outings; some consider it one of the best games of all time.

Arkham Asylum and Arkham City were remastered in 2016 as part of the Batman: Return To Arkham collection. This collection came out on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but curiously never released on PC.

This means the PC version is technically the most outdated… Until now.

A modder named GPUnity has just released an HD Texture Pack for Batman: Arkham City called ‘Arkham City Redux’. This incredible pack boasts over a thousand texture enhancements that clean up everything from the environment to the Dark Knight himself. On top of the easily noticed improvements, things like the draw distance and shadow quality have had a revamp. There’s even a FOV slider to tweak the visuals to your liking.

With the recent passing of the legendary Kevin Conroy, many are playing through the Arkham games once again. If you’re on PC, this mod is worth checking out before you do. You can download it from Nexus Mods here.

As far as Mod installers go, this one is quite straightforward, but if you’re struggling, GPUnity has posted a step-by-step guide on Steam.
