Nintendo has confirmed its September game updates for the SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive provision, with Earthworm Jim landing with two other key releases.
If you were unaware, the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack doesn’t just give you access to an ever-growing bunch of Nintendo 64 games. It also opens the door to SEGA Genesis titles!
Earthworm Jim was first released on the Mega Drive/Genesis back in 1994 and is a run-and-gun platformer featuring a spacesuited worm. It is surprisingly good fun, a game that passed me by until quite recently.
Joining Earthworm Jim are Alisia Dragoon and Beyond Oasis.
Alisia Dragoon is a platforming adventure hack-and-slash, the main character Alisia embarking on a quest to avenge her father.
Finally, Beyond Oasis (aka The Story of Thor) is a Zelda-esque adventure in which you guide Prince Ali against the forces of evil using a magic armlet.
These games are available now on the Nintendo Switch eStore – all you need is a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack to enjoy these and other classic titles.
