Following the release of TheC64 Collection 1 for Evercade, this week TheC64 Collection 2 has been announced, with pre-orders opening in mid-February ahead of its April release. With another 14 games from the Commodore 64, this will mean 28 titles from the C64 alone are available to play on Evercade consoles.
TheC64 Collection 2 boasts the following 14 Commodore 64 games:
- World Games
- California Games
- Impossible Mission II
- Pitstop II
- Sword of Fargoal
- Street Sports Basketball
- Uridium
- Cybernoid
- Nebulus
- Firelord
- Slayer
- Zamzara
- Insects in Space
- Mission Impossibubble
While the titles offer quite a depth of genres, the collection does suffer from being limited to largely the same publishers, namely Epyx and Hewson. That said, the presence of Insects in Space, an early Sensible Software release via Hewson, is welcome.
With a collection of shoot’em ups, adventure games, and sports sims, TheC64 Collection 2 has titles for one and two players. The sports sims are for up to eight players!
You can pre-order TheC64 Collection 2 from February 17th, 2023, ahead of its release on April 28th.
