New multi-regional Sonic Origins Plus boxart has been revealed on the official Sonic the Hedgehog Twitter with each style paying homage to different eras of Sonic an its respective consoles.

These new physical editions of Sonic Origins Plus were showcased in their pre-order graphics. The covers, featuring art by SEGA and IDW artist Mark Hughes, are reversible and allude to multiple generations and games of the Sonic series. The North America box details the black and grey checkered pattern referencing Sonic 2.

The European version refers to the original Sonic MegaDrive grid, complete with beige background art. The Japanese box is thought to bear similarities to Sonic 3 boasting colourful geometrical patterns.
