Jet Set Willy is the sequel to Manic Miner and was released on the ZX Spectrum and Commodore 64 in 1984. In Jet Set Willy, you play as Miner Willy from Manic Miner, and you have to clean up an enormous 60-room mansion before your housekeeper, Maria, will let you go to bed.
This is easier said than done, as the house is packed with dangerous obstacles and monsters that will kill you on contact. In short, you wouldn’t want to live there.
As the name suggests, Jet Set Willy: Role Reversal swaps the main characters around. Now, Maria has to tidy up the mansion before she can sleep.
If you’re curious about what happens if you try to sneak into bed before you’ve tidied up. This image explains it perfectly.
Role Reversal is a reimagining of the original game, featuring 60 brand-new rooms while keeping the gameplay faithful to the original. All of the beautiful ZX Spectrum chirps and sounds are intact, and if you enjoyed the original, Role Reversal looks to be an extension of that.
