Well, this is a collision of desirables! My favourite computer, my favourite game on it, and the best retro computing magazine around! Turrican is (finally!) the cover star on Amiga Addict 35.
The new edition of the magazine explores the story of Turrican and the struggles Factor 5 faced while developing the game. It looks at the game’s gameplay mechanics, the evolution of its sequels, and the challenges of incorporating Chris Huelsbeck‘s epic soundtrack. Also features interviews with Factor 5’s Julian Eggebrecht and Holger Schmidt
Back to the personal observation, this is everything I could ask for in an Amiga magazine. I’ve reviewed the Turrican Flashback and Anthology collections, and found these games still hold up incredibly well. If you haven’t played them recently (or at all), I’d recommend you change that.
