The latest game to get the Arcade Archives treatment is Don Doko Don, a 1989 Taito arcade platformer in which you guide lumberjacks to rescue a princess.
No, really.
This digital release was issued in late February 2023, and comes with the usual Arcade Archives enhancements.
“DON DOKO DON” is a fixed-screen action game released by TAITO in 1989. Take control of the old lumberjacks Bob and Jim to progress through a variety of tricky stages. Pick up items to power up, beat the boss at the end of each ROUND, and rescue the captive king and princess!
Various arcade classics have been faithfully reproduced by HAMSTER’s Arcade Archives series. Difficulty settings can be tweaked, as can display settings, and there is even the option to compete with players on a worldwide platform.
Arcade Archives Don Doko Don is out now to play on Nintendo Switch and Sony PlayStation 4. Learn more from the Arcade Archives website.
