They made it. 2,242 backers pledged £105,948 to bring GamesMaster: The Oral History to life!

You probably know all about the book by now – if not, it’s too late as the campaign has closed. If you missed out though keep the faith. Given the interest in the press for GamesMaster: The Oral History it wouldn’t be a complete surprise if it appears on bookshelves through some other avenue.

In the meantime, if you backed the book, you can look forward to it landing in November 2021. That’s a date we’ve seen elsewhere today; it’s the same month the Evercade VS launches.

Could Christmas 2021 herald the greatest alignment of retro gaming legends since they first set digital limb after digital limb into our just about analogue world? Or is this a portent of even greater proportions?

It’s probably neither, but having GamesMaster: The Oral History and a new Evercade console available in the same month definitely feels right. In the meanwhile, head over to the Kickstarter page to hear a special congratulatory message from Dominik Diamond himself.
