Arguably the most popular GBA tactical role playing game, Fire Emblem can now be played on your Nintendo Switch!

Initially published in Japan and North America in 2003, with European and Australian releases in 2004, it is the seventh in the series and the immediate sequel to Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade. The game was also issued on the Nintendo Wii U Virtual Console in 2014.

The release of Fire Emblem on the GBA beyond Japan also represented the first instance of games in the series having an English translation. The re-release is worldwide, but note that in Japan, Nintendo has added The Binding Blade to the GBA library.

As this title has no English translation and none has been announced, you shouldn’t expect this on your Nintendo Switch anytime soon. On the other hand, the Fire Emblem game should be enough to be going on with.

Alternatively known as Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade, the game is only available via Nintendo Switch Online Library Expansion Pack.
